CTP issues 349,825 challans to violators

The CTP is taking strict action against traffic violators

MULTAN: City Traffic Police (CTP) issued 349,825 challans during the ongoing year which has generated Rs116.8 million so far.

CTP spokesperson Muhammad Adnan told APP on Friday that as per directives of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Huma Naseeb, the CTP is taking strict action against traffic violators. He briefed that 142 FIRs were registered against one-wheeling, 743 against encroachers, 237 against beggars and 367 FIRs were registered against over speeding.

He added that the CTP is also providing training for driving to citizens through driving schools. “Around 6,135 candidates have completed a learning course from the driving school in Multan and 380 have completed the course from Shujabad driving school during the current year.”
