Sindh govt extends support to NICVD
The CM directed the finance secretary to coordinate with the NICVD director
KARACHI:
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said on Friday that his government would meet the financial requirements of National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) and its eight satellite centres. The CM was presiding over a meeting of the NICVD board. The meeting was informed that from January 2019 to August 2019, NICVD provided treatment to 779,331 patients. NICVD’s director informed the CM that funds of around Rs5b were needed so that the expenditures of patients being treated free of charge could be met. The CM directed the finance secretary to coordinate with the NICVD director and meet the financial requirements of the institute.
