Buzdar okays North Punjab University 

The university will help students utilise modern means in the field of research in science and technology

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Monday approved to set up a new, modern university in Chakwal, Rawalpindi Division. The educational institute will be called “The University of North Punjab.” Sources say that a draft bill for this purpose has already been prepared and is expected to be placed before the provincial cabinet for discussion and subsequent approval. The university is being built to facilitate students of the region to acquire knowledge by utilising modern means in the field of research in science and technology. It will further pave new paths for students to develop and enhance their skills and promoting research and development activities.
