In a recent Instagram post, Noor Jehan's daughter, Nazia Ejaz uploaded a picture paying homage to her mother on her birthday.

Noor Jehan, also known as Malika e Tarannum (Queen of Melody), was born on September 21, 1926, and her daughter paid her a tribute in the form of an oil painting of her picture, on a gold leaf canvas which she uploaded on her Instagram with a loving caption.

"The Queen, oil and gold leaf on canvas, 48 x 40 inches. It's my maa’s birthday today. With this image, I celebrate the person who came to this world on this day and made it a better place by just being here. Her voice has soothed our souls- her character has inspired us to set high standards for ourselves- her style made her a trendsetter- her patriotism called to the courage and sacrifice of our soldiers. Thank you NJ 🌹❤️"

Three weeks ago, Ejaz uploaded another picture of herself with the late legend, reminiscing her own birthday when her parents were alive.
