PESHAWAR: The provincial parliamentary accountability body on Thursday directed all government departments and organisations that they must properly prepare and to submit all relevant documents in time so that the body can reach a just conclusion without wasting any time.

This was directed by the Khyber-Pakistan (K-P) Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) as it met in Islamabad on Thursday as it discussed various audit paras regarding expenditures incurred by the provincial police department during the financial year 2011-12.

The audit found that while expenditures incurred under various heads were justified, the department failed to produce proper documents for those expenditures.

Even as the PAC settled several audit paras, it directed the department to produce relevant records regarding some of the audit paras.
