Sarfraz Shah case: Rangers request return of weapons kept as evidence
The ATC has issued a notice to the prosecutor stating that a case must be made in court on July 11 to withhold evidence.
A private witness also recorded a statement during the hearing. He said that his family remained in a state of fear after the murder of Sarfaraz Shah and that he had watched footage of Shah begging for his life but was later shot by Rangers personnel.
In the previous hearing, the defence in the case requested the court to ask the prosecution to provide a copy of the investigation report, which they argue is being “suppressed”.
A joint investigation team (JIT) was tasked with looking into the circumstances and facts of the murder that took place on June 8. Six Rangers men are standing trial along with a civilian in the high-profile case that the Supreme Court took notice of.
Judge Bashir Ahmed Khoso of the Anti-Terrorism Court I is hearing it on a day-to-day basis.
