Couple killed over old enmity

Bodies shifted to Pims for post-mortem

ISLAMABAD: A couple was killed by their relative in precincts of the I-9 police station on Thursday. The police told that Masood and his wife Zubaida Bibi were present in Faizabad when the suspect, Baz Muhammad, opened fire on them.

However, the locals got control of the suspect and handed over him to the police. It was learned by the police Baz hailed from Peshawar and was a relative of the deceased couple while the incident occurred due to an old dispute between them. Both bodies have been shifted to Pims for post-mortem.

Separately, a motorcyclist lost his life while another got seriously injured in an accident near Naseerabad. According to the police, Waqas Ahmed told them that his brothers Kashif Ali and Waqar Ali were riding their bike when they were hit by a speeding pickup loaded with gas cylinders. Kashif succumbed to his wounds and died on the spot while Waqar got seriously injured.
