PM, army chief discuss forthcoming visit to Saudi Arabia, US

Matters related to regional security and situation in IOK discussed

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday, and discussed the premier’s forthcoming visit to Saudi Arabia and United States to attend the 74th UNGA session.

Latest developments in the regional security environment and situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) also came under discussion, according to the PM House.

DG ISI Faez Hameed was also present in the meeting.

PM Imran will be visiting Saudi Arabia from September 19-20 to discuss with the Saudi leadership the various dimensions of the grave situation in IOK, arising from India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019.

The prime minister has been in regular contact on the Kashmir issue with Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman.
