Coal mine contractor gunned down in Harnai

QUETTA: A coal mine contractor was killed while another was injured in a firing incident at Talib Coal Field in Harnai on Friday.

According to police, unknown armed men attempted to kidnap local coal mine contractor Sarwar Kakar, but upon resistance shot him and escaped. The contractor died on the spot.

“One coal mine worker sustained bullet injuries while the attackers set on fire Kakar’s vehicle and escaped towards nearby mountains,” Levis Force added.

Superintendent Kamal Khan Kibzai along with a heavy contingent of police and Levies Force reached the spot and cordoned off the area.
