To highlight the plight of the embattled people of Parachinar and other militancy-affected peoples, Majlis-e-Wahdatul Musilimeen (MWM) will hold an “Istiqlal-i-Pakistan Convention” on July 24 in Islamabad. According to a press release issued here on Friday, the convention will start with an open meeting session, after which, a grand rally will be staged in support of the oppressed people. Later, they will stage a march towards Parliament House, where they will engage in a peaceful sit-in. MWM has invited 310 National Assembly Members, 100 Senators and about 17,000 political and religious figures to attend the Convention. After the end of the convention, “Imdadi Aman Karwan” will leave for Parachinar to offer their help to people over there without any religious discrimination.
