Robbers steal Rs9m in cash from trio in Faisalabad

Factory owner Bhatti was driving home with two others when robbers opened fire at their vehicle.

FAISALABAD: Four robbers looted Rs9 million in cash  from a textile dyeing factory owner, Express News reported on Friday.

Factory owner Shahbaz Bhatti said he was driving home with his brother and an accountant from Peoples Colony when some unidentified robbers appeared and opened fire in front of the car.

The robbers took the Rs9 million from Bhatti. They also stole Rs25,000 in cash from Bhatti’s wallet, along with his cellphone.

The incident was reported to the Mansoorbad Police Station. The police reached the scene 45 minutes after the incident took place.

Residents of Peoples Colony blocked Jhumra Road in protest against the police and demanded a suspension of the Station House Officer (SHO) of Mansoorabad police station.
