Naran Road reopens after months
NHA clears glaciers, work continues to restore access up to Babusar Top

The long wait of the residents and tourists of the Kaghan Valley is over.
After five long months of roads and businesses in the Kaghan Valley remaining closed, the district administration and the National Highway Authority (NHA) have finally opened the Kaghan Highway to all types of traffic.
As the roads reopened, restaurant and store owners unlocked their shutter and business activity in the region began to be restored.
Naran had been cut off since last November due to heavy snowfall and large glaciers in the winter season, which has now been cleared with the help of heavy machinery.
As soon as the roads were opened, hotel owners and traders headed to Naran city to complete preparations before the arrival of the holiday season.
According to the administration, although the road up to Naran city has been cleared, arrangements for the regular arrival of tourists and their accommodation and food is underway and is expected to be completed soon.
The administration said that full provision of water, electricity, sanitation and other basic facilities is being ensured in Naran. As soon as all the facilities are completed, Naran will be opened to tourists so that they can enjoy the enchanting views of the valley without any difficulty.
On the other hand, NHA officials said that efforts to open the Kaghan Highway up to Babusar Top are ongoing. The Kaghan Highway will be made fully operational soon.
