PTI govt restores old gas tariffs for Tandoors

A notification in this regard is expected to be issued by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) shortly

LAHORE: The federal government has decided to provide relief to commercial consumers of tandoors by restoring old gas tariffs.

According to the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) spokesperson, gas tariff for tandoor commercial consumers have been reduced from Rs1,283 per mmbtu to Rs738 per mmbtu.

A notification in this regard is expected to be issued by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) shortly. Following the decision of the federal government, SNGPL has decided to fully facilitate tandoor commercial consumers. They have been requested by the company spokesperson to contact relevant SNGPL offices for correction in gas bills issued under the hiked gas tariff.
