GUJRANWALA: Mumtazabad resident Abdul Rasheed surrendered himself to the police on Wednesday night after killing his wife and daughter. He said he killed the two because his daughter had refused to go back to her husband’s house and his wife was supporting her instead of telling her to leave. Rashed told the police that his daughter, Zahra, had been married and living with her in-laws in Gujrat until six months ago when she came to their house complaining that her husband quarreled with her and that she would not go back to him. He said he tried to persuade her to go back to her husband because that was her home but his wife, Shahnaz, supported her and said that she did not have to go back. On Wednesday night, he said, he stabbed the two and killed them.
