PESHAWAR: Owing to the advent of Muharramul Haram, the provincial government has decided to push back the annual festival in Broghil by a week. The festival will now commence on Thursday, September 12 instead of September 6.

This was announced in a statement issued by the Tourism Corporation of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (TCK-P) and the Upper Chitral district administration.

The three-day Broghil festival will be held in the Broghil National Park in Upper Chitral district, K-P Senior Tourism Minister Atif Khan said.

Owing to Muharram, strict security arrangements have been made in the province, especially Chitral which borders Afghanistan.
