WAZIRISTAN: Twelve people were killed in two US drone strikes in North Waziristan.

The target of the first attack was a house in Khaddi village, near Mir Ali around fifteen kilometres east of Miranshah. Three people were killed in the attack.

According to AFP,  an intelligence official in Miranshah has confirmed the attack, saying that militants were using the house as a compound.

The second strike occurred in the agency, within the first 24 hours of the first one. Nine people were killed in this strike  and another three were injured.

US drones frequently target suspected militant hideouts in the area.
