HPS condoles with student’s family

Says further investigation into the tragedy is underway

KARACHI: The management of Habib Public School (HPC) in a statement on Thursday said that the teachers, staff and the board of trustees were saddened and grieved over the tragic accident that occurred on August 27 in which one of the school’s students, Usman Ahmed Durrani, drowned. It said that the deceased was a diligent student and had been with the school since class one. It said that the school management also visited the student’s family and arranged a prayer and Quran Khawani session in the school on the next day of the incident. According to the school management, the investigation into the tragedy is being carried out. The HPS is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all its students and will take all steps necessary to make sure that no stone is left unturned, it added. “We have been and will continue to be a leading educational institution of Pakistan and will continue to serve our country,” the statement reads.
