Well Mirza, many people do find these crimes to be a big deal and people have been talking about it for years, only more recently people have even been addressing the issue of women attacking male genitals because it's more common than you think.

Also 'Fear of god'? More like the fear of people, cutting off a body part will not convince anyone that a god exists nor make them fear it.

Removing a body part will not change a person's mental state for the better, they will not walk away from it without a desire to get revenge for the punishment.

It shocks me how many people lack such a basic understanding of human psychology, it's amazing the level of stupidity there is in this world. Castration is NEVER okay, not even for the worst of humans because it's only a revenge tactic used to make the evil and sadistic happy.

Those who suffer at the hands of harsh punishments, or have friends/relatives suffer these punishments are likely to want to seek their own revenge in turn.

There is no punishment harsh enough that can satisfy a human's thirst for revenge but there are measures that can be taken to PREVENT atrocities from happening in the first place. Social reform, education and a reform in the judicial system is necessary.

In these countries that you hate so much for their violent crime, you forget that they also have some of the most violent punishments, where did the fear of god go then?

I am one of the most vocal pacifist and liberal, who hate wars and violence of all kind. However, in acid throwing incidents the only penalty should be to cut off the “man” off or castrate him. After the castration, he would not be able to repeat this to any other helpless woman. This would also put the fear of God in many would be acid throwers. Contrary to some, this would be the most “humane” punishment to such male beasts and they could still continue their daily lives as against the victims of acid. It is sick to see so many men being upset over a single incident of attempted penis cut off. However, acid throwing is so very common that not many people even find is worth their time to condemn it. No wonder Pakistan is going down in a geometrical progression.
