QUETTA: Police have arrested a suspect in the murder of a sub-inspector Dost Mohammad Awan, who was killed at his residence in Pishin. Station House Officer (SHO) Rozi Khan Lummar claimed that the suspect, Mehmood Khan, a former Head Constable of Police, has confessed to the crime. However, further interrogations will be held to determine the motive behind the killing, said the SHO. The sub-inspector was shot dead in Pishin by unknown men at night earlier this month after Awan returned from duty. The police officer had died on the spot because he received bullet injury in his head. The murderers managed to flee from the scene before the police reached the spot. Awan was buried in his native town of Chakwal.
