RAIWIND: Former foreign minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi called on Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif at his residence in Raiwind on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Qureshi said he had discussed the current political situation with the PML-N chief. He said the PPP alliance with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) was not logical and he had severe reservations in this regard.

Qureshi said the country was facing economic and security issues and it was the duty of politicians to resolve them.

Sharif said that the government was not showing any will to resolve problems being faced by the masses.

He said accountability was the need of the hour and those responsible for releasing Raymond Davis and showing negligence during the Abbottabad raid must be tried.
