Man murders ex-wife over property dispute in Islamabad

After forcing her to sign away legal right to her property

ISLAMABAD: A man murdered his ex-wife for not giving him her car. Imran killed his ex-wife Maria at her home, while trying to take possession of her car in the remits of Golrah Police Station.

Imran got married to Maria 10 years ago. Six months ago, Imran told Maria that if she wanted a divorce she would have to sign over all of her property in his name including her car.

Maria desperately seeking divorce from a traumatic relationship agreed and signed papers, signing away her legal right to her property.

However, she did not give away ownership of her car. Maria, on Thursday had allegedly denied that anything related to the car was mentioned in the agreement. Imran entered the house in Sector E-11, where he asked his ex-wife for the car, when she refused to give it to him, he became enraged and shot and killed her.
