‘Govt to provide standard healthcare facilities’

CM visits DHQ Sialkot and inquires about facilities from relatives of patients

SIALKOT: The government is making adequate efforts to provide standard healthcare facilities to the patients in government hospitals.

This was stated by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar during his visit to District Headquarter Hospital Sialkot on Wednesday.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan and Provincial Minister for Special Education Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq also accompanied the chief minister.

During the visit, the chief minister inquired about the welfare of patients and distributed gifts among the male and females patients.

On this occasion he also inquired about the facilities from the relatives of the patients. Talking to the patients, Buzdar said that healthcare system would be improved on modern lines. He added that provision of standard health facilities is top on government agenda and people would soon observe a visible change in health sector.

The chief minister said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) PTI-led government was committed to providing maximum modern health facilities to the common man at their doorsteps.

The chief minister directed the doctors and other officials that they should serve patients with missionary zeal and no slackness would be tolerated in this regard. Buzdar, along with Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan and Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq visited different wards of the hospital and spent some time with patients and their relatives.
