18 kanals of land retrieved 

District commission demolishes 39 shops

FAISALABAD: The district administration retrieved 18 kanals of land and demolished 39 shops that were illegally constructed. Punjab Anti-corruption Director General Gohar Nafees submitted an inquiry report to the district administration for retrieving the land from illegal occupants. According to the report, the 18 kanal land was the property of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad and 39 shops were constructed illegally in front of Baba Qaim Saien Shrine in 2005. The occupants have made an amount of Rs52.7 million as rent of the shops so far. The anti-encroachment team led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mian Aftab Ahmed retrieved the land and demolished the concrete structures. The anti-corruption department registered a case against President Anjuman Data Hajveri Qaim Sein Shrine Zafar Iqbal Nagra.
