‘Honour’ Killing: Man kills cousin for refusing him

KHANPUR: A man killed his cousin over honour on Tuesday. According to police officials, Moza Qazi resident Tahir Shaheed Wasim Iqbal killed his 21-year-old cousin Bushra for refusing to marry him because she liked someone else.  The accused later fled from the scene. The deceased was ASI Muhammad Jamil’s daughter and the family has refused to press charges against Iqbal. DSP Khalid Masood reached the scene and said that they would conduct a full inquiry into the incident. On condition of anonymity, locals said that Bushra was killed by her cousin because of her relations with another man and her father refused to pursue a case against his nephew.
