A number of residents brought their sacrificial animals - cows, bulls, goats and sheep - to the car service station to have them washed with pressure spray guns.
Congo virus check mandatory for sacrificial animals
The citizens lined up outside the station said that the animals were dirty as they had been sitting in the mud amid the terrible state of the cattle market after the recent spell of rain.
They said they wanted their animals to be cleaned so that the animals would remain safe from infectious diseases or diseases which spread through the mud. The hooves of the animals were also being cleaned to avoid infections.
Similar arrangements have been made at several other car service stations across the city and have been well received by people.
