ISLAMABAD: Maria Teresa Daban Sanchez, the Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Pakistan has presented some fixes to the Pakistani economy. She laid out the fixes during a presentation during a seminar on “IMF Extended Fund Facility Arrangement for Pakistan”, organised by IMSciences. Sanchez spoke about the macro-critical imbalances of Pakistan and how living in Pakistan for some time had made it possible for her to see some major issues in the economy and enabled her to conduct a study to generate ideas on how it can be improved. She explained how the IMF works in helping countries all over the world not only financially but in other ways as well. IMSciences Director Dr Mohsin Khan talked about the relation that exists between the IMF and Pakistan and claimed that this relation will improve and hopefully it will benefit the education sector to a vast extent. Later, he presented Sanchez with a shield as a memento.
