Cricket: Govt to intervene in WICB-Gayle matter

KINGSTON: The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) heads of government have decided to intervene in the ongoing dispute between the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and former captain Chris Gayle. The move comes in light of Gayle’s latest public statements against the board that included a request for government intervention.  CARICOM Chairman Denzil Douglas said the heads of government had agreed to resurrect the prime-ministerial sub-committee to work out a solution.
