RAWALPINDI: Benazir Bhutto General Hospital (BBGH) has been equipped with the latest lithotripsy machine. A separate room has been allocated for the machine which was presented to the hospital’s Medical Superintendent (MS) as a gift. The officials said that the machine would become operative before Eid-ul-Azha and that it would enable the treatment of kidney stones through lasers.  Moreover, the renovation process of 13 private rooms at BBGH has begun. Earlier, the previous government had locked these rooms owing to their dilapidated condition. Air-conditioned rooms would be given on a rental basis to patients belonging to well-off backgrounds while the measure would generate revenue of millions for the hospital.
