KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s Rabita Committee has expressed concern over the sudden increase in criminal activities in the city and blamed it on the incompetence of the city administration. According to a statement issued from the MQM-P’s head office in Bahadurabad, the Rabita Committee has said that the surge in street crimes has terrified citizens while the administration is playing the role of a silent observer. The committee further said that criminal elements had killed three citizens in firing a day earlier. Several citizens, including MQM’s MPA Ali Khurshid, were deprived of their mobile phones and other valuables in separate incidents of robbery and snatching.
