LPG prices increased for Aug

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has increased the price of domestically produced liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs1.70 per kg for August 2019.

The regulator increased the LPG price by Rs19.11 for an 11.8kg cylinder for the month. According to a notification issued by Ogra, the new price of 11.8kg domestic cylinder has been fixed at Rs1,350.03. In July, the price of the cylinder was Rs1,330.92.

Producer price of LPG (propane 40% and butane 60%) has been calculated at Rs58,116.72 per tonne compared to Rs56,733.40 per tonne in July. The producer price includes excise duty of Rs85 per tonne but does not include petroleum levy. The producer price of 11.8kg cylinder has been worked out at Rs685.78.

Government to frame long-term LPG policy

Marketing and distribution margins have been set at Rs35,000 per tonne and at Rs413 per 11.8kg cylinder, and petroleum levy of Rs4,669 per tonne will also be charged, which will be Rs55.09 for the 11.8kg cylinder.
