Yasir's public proposal garnered a lot of criticism from fans and followers. And just when we thought the hoo-ha had died down, Iqra's sister, Sidrah, shared a picture of their apparent engagement ceremony on Instagram.
"I read too many a things online about the proposal, about all the religious debate, moral debate and somewhere ethical too. I know how all of that has taken us aback and how we moved ahead despite of all the unnecessary discussions," Sidrah wrote in a heartfelt note with the couple's picture.

She further penned, "My suggestion to you both is, there are fights and then there are battles. We choose our battles and not the meagre fights and we choose our battles wisely and fight for them. May you both help each other grow more and better. Baki, kuch tau log kahenge, Logun ka kaam hai kehna."
However, there was an odd detail the Twitterati noticed in the picture.
Iqra posted two pictures on her Instagram account in the same dress and styling months back. This begged the question on whether the couple was officially engaged back in February and just staged proposal this month?

Dressed in a gold and white Kamiar Rokni ensemble, Iqra looked radiant. But we can't look away from the fact that she does look eerily similar in this recent picture.
