Balochistan Secondary Education Department has suspended 283 teachers and officers

QUETTA: Balochistan Secondary Education Department has suspended 283 teachers and officers of the department over absenteeism and negligence of duty.

The staff against whom disciplinary action has been taken include 29 teachers and officers of grade 19, said a notification issued by the department.

Other staff members who have been suspended include 141 Junior Vocational Teachers (JVT), 54 Junior English Teachers (JET), 29 social studies teachers, 7 drawing teachers, 6 Quran teachers and 29 non-teaching staff.

“A time frame has been given to the suspended officials for submitting their response otherwise they would be suspended permanently from job under educational department rules,” Balochistan Secretary Education Tayab Lehri said.

Lehri emphasized the vision of Balochistan Chief Minister to promote education in the province by utilizing all resources. He added strict action will be taken against negligent teachers and staff.

The secretary briefed about consequences of the educational reforms which yield positive results in the education sector of the province. Lehri is confident about educational measures taken across Balochistan.
