PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain Thursday announced that a delegation is expected to leave for Gaza after Eid-ul-Fitr.

He also said that he would bear all expenses of 10 orphan Palestinian youth whose parents had been martyred by Israeli forces.

This announcement was made by Shujaat while addressing a press conference on his visit to the head-office of Khubaib Foundation.

Flanked by PML-Q Secretary General Mushahid Hussain Sayed and Chairman Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Ahmed Khan, Shujaat said Palestine and Kashmir are victims of state terrorism by Israel and India. Despite continued aggression, both India and Israel would have to finally liberate both the nations who are poised to fight till the last breath, he added.

On the occasion, the PML-Q chief also referred to discriminatory treatment by the government of Chile towards a Pakistani student, Saifur Rehman Khan, who had been detained on terrorism suspicion without any proof. "The western world should stop finger-pointing towards Muslims for anything wrong that happens across the globe. Rather, they should treat the Muslims as they do to their fellow human beings," he added.

Felicitating Nadeem, Talat Hussain and Raza Agha for taking a daring step by participating in Freedom Flotilla, Shujaat said they had made the entire Pakistan a proud nation by practically waging a struggle to break the siege of Gaza.

Terming Nadeem Ahmed "Ghazi of Gaza", Mushahid Hussain Sayed said his party had taken lead by raising voice for safe release of Talat, Nadeem and Raza Agha and it had staged a demonstration outside National Press Club.

He also urged the authorities of Chile to allow safe return to Saifur Rehman Khan. "I have talked to Pakistan ambassador in Chile and urged him to use his influence for clearance of Saifur Rehman Khan. However, the government should also use its influence to ensure a safe and immediate return of Saif," he added.

Nadeem Ahmed Khan expressed gratitude to Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Mushahid Hussain Sayed, crediting them to be the first Pakistani politicians to raise voice against the Israeli aggression against innocent Palestinians. "Chaudhry Shujaat had also played a part in helping the earthquake victims of AJK and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa back in 2005. He was also forthcoming by announcing to bear expenses of two female students of Lal Masjid and since then he is paying us the expenditure accordingly," he added.

Nadeem said on Wednesday, he had visited Palestine Embassy and the Palestinian envoy had urged him to make arrangements for taking care of those Palestinian orphans whose parents had been martyred in Israeli attacks.

"Chaudhry Shujaat has vowed to take care of all expenses of 10 Palestinian children which is a great contribution towards the cause of humanity and Muslim brotherhood," he added.

PML Vice President Zubair Ahmed Khan, Deputy Secretary Information Mustafa Malik and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.

NK | 14 years ago | Reply Indeed a great step (if taken in reality!). If Ch Shujaat Hussain really wants to help supressed Muslims of the world, then why look hundreds and thousand of miles away? Charity begins at home...Recent terrorists attacks in Lahore on Ahmaddiya mosques have left so many children without their fathers and number of old men without their sons. Why not offer this help to them? Also, the coverage the media has given and continues to give to the Freddom Flotilla incodent, why not give half of its air-time to raising questions about this horrific incident? Moreover, I believe terrorists donot strike against people of a particular religion, sect or creed. And their activities have been openly and repeatedly condemned by all the segments of society; in shape of protests and writings. But it is disheartening to know that only one demonstration has been arranged in Islamabad in protest against attacks on Ahmaddiya brothers, and even more sad to know only 11 people turned out for the protest. And no media channel was there to cover it! Sad, but true picture of Pakistan.
