Accompanied by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh's President MPA Haleem Adil Shaikh, Awan arrived at the shrine past Thursday midnight around 2 am for her 'thanksgiving day' visit. Referring to the PPP leadership, she asked them to develop Sehwan before making the claim of developing the whole country.
"The devotees feel saddened to see that there are no drinking water, health and other facilities in the town of Qalandar." She advised the Sindh CM to pay attention towards serving the people of the province instead of only serving the Bhutto family.
"Your constituency is also calling you. You shouldn't do injustice with the whole of Sindh by acting only as of the courtier of the ruling family." The special assistant advised the opposition parties to do soul-searching before trying to find faults with the PTI's governance and economic policies. "The opposition should rather mourn their own black deeds."
She said Prime Minister Imran Khan is fighting a war for the country's identity. She observed that stability and peace are precursors to economic development and expressed the hope that the PM's recent visit to the US will prove to be a step towards these goals.
Commenting on the opposition's move to unseat the Senate chairman, Awan alleged that the opposition wanted to undermine the upper house of parliament. She said the PTI wanted to see the Senate function as per the law and the Constitution, unlike the opposition parties. She added the people of Pakistan had rejected the opposition parties on July 25, 2018.
