Fatema Sohail responds to Mohsin Abbas Haider's press conference

Fatema revealed that Nazish Jehangir had admitted to being involved with Mohsin

A day after Mohsin Abbas Haider was accused of physical assault and cheating by his wife Fatima Sohail, the actor came forward to not only denying the reports but also claimed that she is “trying to play the woman card”.

On Monday, Fatema held a press conference in response to Mohsin's statements.

“I tolerated abuse as a wife but I won’t as a mother,” she said, after sparking a storm on social media when she levelled shocking allegations against him on Saturday evening.

The Baaji actor’s wife went on to say that while she knew Mohsin suffered from anger management issues, she did not know the severity of them. She mentioned that even after repeated abuse, she kept quiet to save her marriage.

“I did not want to be tagged divorced,” Fatima added.

She reiterated that Mohsin’s claims of being innocent are all wrong and television host Dua Malik is first hand witness to everything Fatema has reportedly endured.

"Dua Malik is an eye witness to everything that has been happening with me for the last three years," Fatema said during the press conference.

She said, "I have also shared the images of my battered, bruised face after Mohsin beat me. I have said it time and again that the pictures are of the time when I was pregnant," she continued adding, "He is trying to confuse the public. Seeking treatment for depression and anger issues is another thing and beating a woman black and blue is another. He is just trying to scam the people."

Addressing Mohsin, Fatema said, "It is true that I had turned up at his door with our son because I wanted him to assume full responsibility of his child. He had blocked all my numbers and there was no contact between us even when I was in labour. He knew about the expected time of the birth of his son and he had still opted to remain distant, turning a blind eye to all his responsibilities."

Fatema went on to reveal that Nazish Jehangir, the woman she accused of having an extra marital affair with Mohsin, had admitted to being involved with him.

"My only regret is that I had demanded her to stay away from Mohsin when my own husband was a cheating, vile person. He has stooped to new lows by assassinating my character and using the name of my dead daughter in the entire scenario for sympathy," she noted.

Fatema ended the press conference by saying that the only thing she wants from Mohsin now is to provide and care for their son.

"I only intend to provide my son with all his legitimate rights by his father," she asserted.
