‘PTI following austerity policy’

LAHORE: Punjab Information and Culture Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal on Monday said positive outcomes would emerge from the visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to the United States. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan has won the hearts of the people of Pakistan by undertaking his journey to the US by a commercial flight instead of a chartered plane. The minister expressed these views in a statement issued on Monday. The minister said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has promoted simplicity culture and also adopted austerity policy. “Prime Minister Imran Khan has set a practical example of simplicity,” he maintained. Iqbal said Pakistan was briskly moving towards its journey to achieve progress, prosperity, and strengthening of the economy. He said those staging rallies in support of narcotics criminals should remember that people of Pakistan have not forgotten their tales of corruption, adding that people were totally indifferent to their politics of protest. The stories of corruption of former rulers have also ended their credibility, he said, adding that the dream of making Pakistan a stronger and prosperous country would definitely be fulfilled. The minister said the PTI’s government was committed to bringing the country on the track of progress and prosperity and no would escape accountability.
