SIALKOT:
The owners of all 300 bricks kilns in the Sialkot district kept their kilns locked up for the third consecutive day to protest the levy of the general sales tax (GST) by the government. The kiln workers and owners said that the supply of bricks had been suspended for the past four days in Sialkot. Talking to reporters, Bricks Kilns Owners Association Sialkot president Khawaja Zafar Iqbal termed the imposition of the GST as ‘a brick wall to break kilns’. Meanwhile, the hundreds of the bricks kilns owners and labourers took out a peaceful agitational rally in Sialkot in this regard.
