Sherry Rehman offers help to Fatema Sohail, other victims of domestic abuse

PPP Senator shared her two cents after Sohail came out with her ordeal

On late Saturday night, actor Mohsin Abbas Haider's wife shared her ordeal of domestic abuse.

Her story shocked social media after posting on Facebook that she has been allegedly suffering from domestic abuse at the hands of her husband.

Many came out in her support. PPP Senator Sherry Rehman also extended her help to domestic abuse victims.

"Fatima like so many others, needs help. Am available in Islamabad at any point to meet and take this up," Rehman shared on Twitter. "Many legislators feel very strongly about abuse and domestic violence. We worked for years on the lawmaking against it. Please feel free to DM me to coordinate any response."

Haider, however, on Sunday night during a press meet rubbished Sohail's claims of abuse and commented on how she is “trying to play the woman card”.

While speaking to the media in Lahore, the actor said, “Whatever she [Fatima Sohail]  is saying, is a lie, I never touched her. It is true that I have had anger issues in the past but I’m a changed man.”
