NHA income up by 51pc
A total increase in revenue of Rs14.68 billion recorded or 51.25% increase as compared with the previous year
Ministry of Communications (MoC) National Highway Authority (NHA) has issued performance details for the period between August 2018 and June 2019. According to a press release revenue of Rs43.32 billion was collected during the period under review as against Rs28.64 billion generated in same period of 2017-18. Thus a total increase in revenue of Rs14.68 billion was recorded or 51.25% increase as compared with the previous year. Likewise, under accountability head, total audit recoveries of Rs7 billion were made in August to June 2018-19, while in the same period of 2017-18 no audit recoveries were made. From 2008 to 2018 more than Rs9.8 million incurred on TA/DA and Rs25.73 million on vehicles and petrol of minister and parliamentary secretary for communication from NHA’s budget for the offices. However, for August to June 2018-19 no such expenses were made from NHA’s budget. NHA recovered 448.25 kanals of land worth Rs2.5 billion by removing 3,347 encroachment during its drive in 2018-19.
