The development took place during a meeting of parliament’s PAC sub-committee held on Tuesday with its convener Noor Alam Khan in the chair.
The audit paras of the Ministry of Communication for fiscal year 2017-18 were also reviewed.
The convener said, “Any officer who has stayed at a station of his department for more than three years should be transferred to another station. No officer should stay at a station for more than three years according to the law.”
The National Highway Authority officials presented a tentative list for transfer of officers.
The proceedings of the meeting were stopped due to a power breakdown. The administration provided emergency lights for the meeting to continue.
