54 more dengue cases surface

KARACHI: At least 54 more dengue fever cases were detected in Karachi in a week, taking the reported cases toll to 869 since January 1 this year. According to the weekly report issued by the Prevention and Control Program for Dengue in Sindh, 55 new dengue fever cases were detected across the province in a week out of which 54 were reported in Karachi. In July, a total of 114 dengue positive cases surfaced across the province out of which 110 emerged in Karachi. A total of 921 dengue cases have been reported in Sindh so far out of which, 869 were recorded in Karachi and 52 in other districts.
