Charging Rs5,000 for the priority process, the target has been set up of Rs500,000 per day. HEC is expected to generate added revenue of Rs150 million per year with the implementation of this policy.
According to sources, besides the urgent fees, special slots have been approved in the regional offices as well as the main office - 45 slots in the headquarters, 20 slots in Lahore’s regional office, 15 slots in Karachi while 10 slots each for regional offices of Quetta and Peshawar will help reach the set target of Rs.500, 000.
HEC verification delays cost students academic opportunities
Sources say that Rs5000 fee is besides the normal fee which amounts to Rs800. Further, HEC charges Rs500 for photocopy verification.
Previously, candidates were facilitated without extra fees on providing date of interview or letter from any institute seeking degree. However, now Rs5000 will be charged.
Director General Attestation and Equivalence Tahir Zaidi said that the following procedure has been initiated to curb nepotism and facilitate the needy ones
