Ex-SC judge hospitalised at PIMS

The former chief justice of Peshawar High Court had also served as caretaker CM of K-P in 2018.

ISLAMABAD: Justice (retd) Dost Muhammad Khan has been shifted to the VIP ward of Pims after he was severely injured due to a fire outbreak in his house apparently due to a short circuit in the wiring of an air conditioner. The former chief justice of Peshawar High Court and senior justice of Supreme Court, he had also served as caretaker CM of K-P in 2018. Justice (retd) Dost Muhammad was alone in his house, with his servant, when the fire broke out in his room due to which he suffered severe burn injuries. Sources in Pims said that his face, arms, and leg were affected leaving 25 per cent of his body burnt which was below the critical level of 40 per cent. Police said Justice (retd) Dost Muhammad’s children had gone to their native village to spend the summer vacations leaving him with his servant.
