Civil Defense Department paid surprise visits to different petrol pumps

RAWALPINDI: The civic authorities and Civil Defense Department (CDD) conducted a joint operation against petroleum agencies yesterday. The Cantonment Assistant Commissioner Ramsha Javed paid surprise visits to different petrol pumps. In this regard, three filling stations at Murir Chowk, Kashmir Road, and Muree Road were sealed for selling fuel with inaccurate measurements. Furthermore, the CDD District Officer Talib Hussain also sealed them over the non-installation of fire safety equipment despite various notices. The CDD also sealed four illegally operating cylinder-gas agencies in different parts of the city.
