DI KHAN: A day after seven people were killed in a clash between two tribes over irrigation water, the funerals of the victims were offered.

The Chudwan police kept the funerals for each tribe separate while maintaining tight security.

Meanwhile, the police have registered separate cases against 19 suspects from both groups for murder and attempted murder.

On Monday, DI Khan Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Umair and District Police Officer (DPO) Saleem Riaz visited the incident site and met with elders of both tribes. They urged them to remain patient and that the dispute will be resolved soon and without further bloodshed.

Seven tribesmen were killed and three others were injured on Sunday when the two tribes clashed in Satoriani village in the Gandi Arazi area.
