HYDERABAD: The Sindh Traders Association will observe a strike on July 13 to protest the taxes levied in the federal budget for the fiscal year 2019-20. The association’s president, Abdul Qayum Qureshi, and other office bearers at a press conference in Hyderabad on Monday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s government has levied a horde of new taxes to the detriment of the country’s trade and industry. “The existing taxpayers are being saddled with more taxes,” he deplored. He said that markets and shops will remain shut in all parts of Sindh on July 13.
