The families of missing persons lauded the efforts of Commission Chairman retired Justice Javed Iqbal and maintained that the body had achieved immense success under the exemplary leadership of its chief.
The inquiry commission received 32 more cases during June 2019 after which, the number of cases involving forced disappearances reached 6,156 of which, 3,938 cases were dismissed by June 30.
The commission heard 702 cases during June 2019 of which 194 hearings took place in Islamabad, 86 in Lahore, 210 in Karachi, 126 in Quetta and 86 in Peshawar.
Chairman Iqbal listened to the concerns of the remaining families and assured them of the recovery of their beloved ones.
The families of the missing persons praised the chairman for his dedication and hard work toward the cause and not drawing salary for the purpose.
