RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Information Commission (PIC) has issued last warning to Rawalpindi police chief for providing required information to the citizen. A social woker Syed Kausar Abbas had demanded budget details of investigation fund from the city police officer (CPO) Rawalpindi. The CPO had to provide all related information under right to information law within 14 days however the CPO office lent a deaf ear to repetitive orders from PIC.  The commission is now going to issue a final notice to the CPO in which he has been told that amount of fine would be deducted from his salary if he did not release information till July 15. In this regard, CPO Faisal Rana said that the matter dated back when he had not assumed the charge. He said that funds were public money and all required information would be provided once commission’s letter was received.
