Police Encounter: Robber killed in shoot out

FAISALABAD: A robber escaped, while his accomplice was killed following an encounter with the Lundianwala Police on Friday. The police received information regarding armed dacoits robbing passers-by by erecting a picket near Saim Pul Khokhran. Police officials rushed to the spot and warned the outlaws to surrender their arms but the bandits opened fire on the police party. One robber was killed while his accomplice managed to flee following the encounter. The deceased was later identified as Chak No629-GB resident Asif and the police started investigating by taking his body into custody.
