HYDERABAD:

Students applying to the Sindh university’s M.S., M.Phil and Ph.D programmes are now required to sit the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test to be eligible for admission.

The graduate studies director said that according to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) the test has been made mandatory for enrolment in the 2012 programme. Before this, the university conducted the pre-entry test itself.

Candidates have been advised to take the GRE test from the National Testing Service (NTS) before November 2011. NTS is an internationally recognised assessment organisation which conducts tests for admissions, scholarships, recruitment and promotion.
